Each leisure centre offers state-of-the art training facilities in a spacious and welcoming environment with a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. We also offer free Wi-Fi at all of our centres.
Our popular exercise classes are a fantastic way of getting fit and making new friends. We offer something for everyone from high impact, fat-burning workouts like zumba to holistic classes like yoga and pilates that relieve stress while improving balance and flexibility.
We also offer a wide range of sports activities. From basketball and football to badminton and table tennis, these sociable sessions will give you a great mental and physical workout. Atherton Leisure Centre
Atherton Leisure Centre opened its doors in April 2016 offering state-of-the-art equipment in a light, airy and spacious environment. Atherton Leisure Centre has certainly become a hive of activity, with something on offer for everyone. Whether it’s joining in with our world famous Les Mills classes, making a splash in our pools, or working out with our exciting and alternative 360 Synrgy equipment, then there’s something here for you.
Atherton Leisure Centre is much more than just a gym. The soft play and crèche areas offer a unique experience for children to express themselves and to get active in a safe and stimulating environment. In addition the ground floor cafe offers first class catering and an exciting wide ranging menu for you to recharge your batteries after your session with us.

Here are the options that you can choose:
activeBaseline
- Off Peak Membership to all of the facilities at all of leisure centres: gym, group exercise, swimming, racquet sports and health suite
- Off Peak times are all day until 4pm and all day on Saturday
- Access to online booking and the activeNewham App
- £26 per month
activeFitness
- Customers must first purchase an activeBaseline membership (£26)
- Peak and Off Peak time access to either gym, group exercise and swimming or a combination of the 3 elements at all of the leisure centres.
- Each element costs £7 per month.
- All 3 elements cost £18 (a saving of £3 per month)
activeWellbeing
- Customers must first purchase an activeBaseline membership (£26)
- Peak and Off Peak access to racquet sports
- Costing £12 per month
The Get Active card
- A completely flexible option – only pay as and when you use our facilities.
- The Get Active card is free to Newham residents, £70 to non-residents.
